Verse 1: O teach me Thy way, O Jehovah, O teach me to follow Thy path, In Thee I trust for Thy judgments are just, Thou art my rod and my staff; There’s one thing I cherish, Jehovah, There’s one thing far greater than gold, To be with the blest in that haven of rest and to dwell in Thy heavenly fold.
Verse 2: The heavens declareth Thy glory, The firmament showeth Thy skill, Each day and night, by the strength of Thy might, All things appeared at Thy will; Thy precepts are right, O Jehovah, Thy voice in each language is heard, The meek wilt Thou guide, if in Thee they confide and will trust in the hope of Thy Word.
Verse 3: O guide me, my God of salvation, from out of the depth do I cry, Thou art my fortress, my strength, and my shield. On Thee I safely rely; I’m safe in the cleft, when Thou hide me, I’m shielded securely from fear, I greatly rejoice at the sound of Thy voice, for I know my Jehovah is near.
