Verse 1: Jehovah sent a little child, So many years ago, To earth from high up in the sky, That all the world would know. Messiah, Holy Lamb was He, And Jesus was His name. He grew and grew like me and you, That little Child who came.
Verse 2: He grew to be our Blessed Lord, And blest He ev’ry one, Our Savior sent from God up there, Jehovah’s Gracious Son. I love Him for He first loved me. I love Him more and more. I have more love for Him each day, More than I’ve had before.
Verse 3: I trust that I will see my Lord, And then He’ll carry me To that fair land, The Glory Land, Beyond adversity, Where all is love up there above, Where peace goes on and on, And that same one, My Gracious Lord, Will lead His children home.
