Verse 1: We cry aloud, “Lord, hear our plea!” We raise our eyes up high; Our help comes from the Holy One who made the earth and sky. He blesses all who fear His name and walk His narrow way. “O God, You do great things for us. We praise you ev’ry day.”
Verse 2: Protecting us from midday heat and darkness in the night, He never slumbers, never sleeps; He is our constant light. At times distressed, at times at ease, we wait upon the Lord. He blesses us with restful sleep, our fortitude restored.
Verse 3: Our hearts are glad; our tongues are filled with laughter and with song. In unity we journey singing praises all day long. As we march on have mercy, Lord, and guide us lest we fall. To lean upon Your strong right arm brings comfort to us all.
Chorus: As ancients sang together in the days of long ago, We lift our weary spirits singing praises as we go. As cending up the mountain as we journey fervently, Our burdens lightened as we pair our words with harmony.
